YELLOW HORSE COFFEE

For this project, we had to randomly pick three words—one from each category: an animal, a color, and a drink. The words I got were Yellow, Horse, and Coffee, and my challenge was to create a logo that brought them all together in a fun and creative way.

BRAND THUMB-NAILING

During the thumb-nailing stage the idea was to try to really hit on the brand attributes of coffee and horse. After playing with the design a bit, some sketches were helping make the idea clearer.

Taking a lot of inspiration from farmers and ranchers the idea to use a branding symbol help tie the name and the aesthetics of the horse into one cohesive idea. Using a skull of a horse to give the design a bold look that would grab the attention of any onlookers that come across it.

LOGO VARIATION

after finalizing the concept, it came time to vectorize the design. Color was a must for the logo since that's what the guidelines require but in addition a Black and White version was made that would make logo more suitable for legal and other printed documents.
